Fatal Truck Accidents in California
Truck crashes in the United States claimed the lives of more than 475 people every month. Unfortunately, the majority of these accidents involve some form of negligence. When negligence is the cause of a truck accident, families are able to take legal action. To be able to succeed when filing a wrongful death claim, families must be able to prove liability.
When it comes to determining liability in a truck accident, there are several key factors that must be considered. The first step is to determine the cause of the accident itself and whether any negligence was involved. This could include issues such as driver fatigue, distracted driving, poor vehicle maintenance, or faulty equipment.
Once the cause has been established, you will then need to identify which party or parties were responsible for that particular issue. For example, if the accident was caused by a tire blowout due to inadequate maintenance, then both the trucking company and manufacturer may bear some responsibility. Working with a national truck accident lawyer can provide you with the best chance of determining who is liable for the accident.
Your attorney will be able to conduct a thorough investigation into the crash. They will identify all of the factors that led to the accident taking place and all of the liable parties and help you take aggressive legal action against them.
