Nashville, TN (July 22, 2023) – An automobile accident involving a school bus took place in the Nashville area on Friday morning that sent one person to a local hospital with injuries.
At around 6:40 a.m. on July 21, calls for assistance were received regarding an automobile accident in the Nashville area.
Reports from local law enforcement show that the driver of a Ford pickup truck ran a red light while traveling on East Thompson Lane during the morning hours. As a result, the vehicle proceeded forward and struck a school bus from the Intrepid College Prep school. The crash prompted authorities to close down a section of the roadway in South Nashville while assisting.
The driver of the bus was injured as a result of the accident. Emergency medical services responded to care for the injured victim. The driver was then transported to a local hospital for further medical care.
At this time, investigations are underway.
