New York City, NY (July 14, 2023) – A crash on the Upper East Side of New York City sent two people to area medical facilities for emergency treatment of injuries.
The accident was reported to the New York Police Department during the early morning hours on Thursday, July 13.
NYPD reports show that an MTA bus was struck by a box truck on 85th Street near the intersection of Lexington Avenue. The box truck and the bus were both significantly injured in the accident.
Police closed off multiple lanes of the road as they worked to remove debris from several lanes at the intersection.
The drivers of both vehicles were injured. Medics responded to transport the injured victims to area hospitals for emergency medical care.
The New York Police Department is actively investigating the crash.
