New York, NY (October 5, 2023) – A fatal truck accident reported on the Upper East Side claimed the life of one man on Wednesday morning.
The New York Police Department was notified of the crash at around 3:30 a.m. on October 4.
According to official reports, a moped and a box truck were involved in the collision in the area of East 94th Street and Second Avenue.
Two people were on the moped at the time of the crash. Both victims were ejected from the vehicle.
The driver of the moped suffered a severe injury to the head. The victims were transported to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell. The driver passed away from their injuries after arriving.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
