Newton, KS – Man Killed in Truck Crash on I-135 near E Broadway St

Newton, KS (November 15, 2023) – A fatal truck accident was reported in Newton on Monday morning, November 13. Calls for help came in just after 10:30 a.m. Reports from the Newton Police Department indicate that a semi-truck was traveling northbound on Interstate 135. As the vehicle proceeded through the roundabout near East Broadway Street, it collided with a van.

A passenger in the van, identified as a 20-year-old man from Wichita, Kansas, was fatally injured in the crash. Authorities arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. The driver of the van, a 22-year-old man, was treated for injuries.
