North Fort Myers, FL (October 11, 2023) – Several people were rushed to area hospitals with injuries following a major truck crash that occurred in the North Fort Myers area on Tuesday, October 10.
Reports provided by the police show that an SUV and a dump truck collided on Bayshore Road in the area of Williams Road. The incident blocked multiple lanes on the road near Bayshore Elementary School.
Three children and one adult all suffered injuries as a result of the crash. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office shut down the roadway to provide a landing space for the medical helicopter. The injured victims were flown to area medical facilities on a trauma alert.
At this time, the accident is being investigated by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
