North Strabane, PA – Multi-Vehicle Truck Wreck on I-79 Ends in Injuries

North Strabane, PA (July 26, 2023) – At around 7:00 a.m. on July 25, the police and firefighters out of Washington County responded to the scene of an accident on Interstate 79.

Reports from authorities show that a pest control truck and two other vehicles collided on the northbound side of the interstate during the morning hours. The impact of the crash caused the pest truck to overturn, prompting hazmat to respond to the scene.

The incident closed off all of the lanes on the northbound side of the interstate near the exit for Canonsburg as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.

A couple of people involved in the accident were injured. Emergency medical services provided care for the victims and transported them to local hospitals for further care.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.
