Panama City, FL (September 20, 2023) – A school bus accident took place in Panama City on Monday that claimed one person’s life.
The Florida Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of the crash on September 18.
Police reports indicate that a pickup truck was traveling north on State Road 77. At the same time, a school bus was traveling south on the same roadway.
As the vehicles approached the intersection of Spikes Road, they collided.
The driver of the pickup truck was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene.
The bus driver suffered injuries and was taken to an area hospital. There were no students on the bus at the time of the accident.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.
