Paul, ID (September 17, 2023) – fatal injuries were reported due to an automobile accident that occurred on Friday morning in the Paul area. At around 2:00 a.m. on September 15, emergency crews were dispatched to assist on-site at a crash on Interstate 84.
Reports from local news sources show that a 2018 Volvo semi-truck, which was being driven by a 53-year-old male, was struck by a 2016 Freightliner semi-truck tractor-trailer on the interstate. For unknown reasons, the Freightliner, which was driven by a 43-year-old man from Denver, Colorado, crossed from the westbound side of the road into the eastbound lanes.
One driver was fatally injured in the crash and pronounced deceased on-site.
Two other victims were injured. The victims were transported to local hospitals by ambulance for medical care.
The crash is being investigated at this time.
