Pavilion, NY (August 22, 2023) – A truck accident reported on Monday in Pavilion ended in injuries.
The accident occurred at around 2:30 p.m. on August 21.
According to reports provided by the New York State Police, a semi-truck and a dump truck collided on Route 20 in the area near South Street Road. The impact of the crash left the front of one truck completely destroyed. The second vehicle rolled over and came to rest partially on its side and partially on its roof.
Between 100 and 150 gallons of diesel fuel spilled out on the roadway, prompting the response of DEC.
The semi-driver suffered serious injuries due to the crash and was transported by LeRoy Ambulance to Strong Hospital for emergency care. The dump truck driver was treated for injuries while at the scene.
The crash is currently being investigated.
