Phoenix, AZ – Bus Crash on Loop 101 at W Thunderbird Rd Takes One Life

Phoenix, AZ (October 30, 2023) – The Arizona Department of Public Safety confirmed that one person died as a result of a fatal collision that took place on Sunday morning, October 29.

At around 3:45 a.m., DPS troopers were called to the scene of a crash on Thunderbird Road.

Reports indicate that a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was traveling southbound on Loop 101 when it collided head-on with a northbound bus near Thunderbird Road.

The driver of the pickup truck sustained severe injuries. The victim was transported to a nearby medical facility, where they passed away.

One person was ejected from the tour bus, resulting in significant injuries. The victim was rushed to an area hospital. One additional victim was treated for injuries.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety is actively investigating the incident.
