Pittsville, MO (August 30, 2023) – A woman was left injured following a truck accident that took place in Johnson County.
At around 5:30 p.m. on August 28, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was informed that they were needed at the scene of a crash on US Highway 50. MS HP reports indicate that a 73-year-old woman from Centerview, Missouri, was driving a 2018 Jeep Renegade east on the highway. As she was slowing her vehicle to make a left turn at Northwest 475th Road just east of Pittsville, her vehicle was rear-ended by a 2017 Peterbilt.
The driver of the Jeep, a 47-year-old man from La Monte, Missouri, was uninjured.
A passenger in the Jeep, identified as a 75-year-old woman from Centerview, Missouri, was injured. She was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for emergency care.
The incident is being investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol in the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
