Pleasant Hill, IA – Man Killed in Truck Wreck on Hwy 163 at 112th St

Pleasant Hill, IA (November 27, 2023) – Emergency crews were summoned to provide help at the scene of a truck accident that occurred in the Pleasant Hill area. The accident took place just before 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 25.

According to reports from the Iowa State Patrol, a 24-year-old man from Ames, Iowa, was driving north on Northeast 112th Street when his vehicle collided with a semi-truck tractor-trailer at the intersection of Highway 163. The incident caused severe damage to the man’s vehicle.

The driver suffered significant injuries in the crash. He ended up passing away due to his injuries following the incident. The driver of the semi-truck did not suffer any injuries. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
