Plymouth County, IA (October 8, 2023) – A crash reported on Saturday morning in Plymouth County claimed the life of a young child, according to officials.
On October 7, the Plymouth County Sheriff’s office responded to the scene of a crash in the 22,000 block of County Road 38.
Reports from authorities indicate that a semi-truck trailer was traveling eastbound on the roadway when it collided with a dirt bike.
The rider on the dirt bike, identified as an 11-year-old, was fatally injured. The victim was pronounced deceased.
No other injuries were reported as a result of this accident.
Investigations into the crash are being performed by the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa State Patrol.
