Portland, OR (July 23, 2023) – A bicyclist passed away after being hit by a semi-truck. The accident was reported in the Portland area on Friday afternoon, July 21.
According to reports provided by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, a bicyclist was struck by a semi-truck while traveling on Northwest Susbauer Road. The incident prompted the sheriff’s office to shut down the roadway between Northwest Long Road and Northwest Hornecker Road for an extended period while working to clear the road.
The bicyclist was severely injured in the accident. Despite medical efforts, the victim passed away due to the extent of injuries. No other injuries were reported as a result of this accident.
Emergency crews remained on-site for an extended period while assisting with the clean-up and investigations. At this time, investigations are ongoing.
