Provo Canyon, UT – Major Truck Crash Reported on US-189

Provo Canyon, UT (July 21, 2023) – A truck accident was reported in the Provo Canyon area that ended in injuries.

Reports from the Utah Department of Transportation show that a collision occurred at around 11:30 a.m. on July 19.

According to official reports, a dump truck was carrying dirt while traveling on the westbound lanes of US Highway 189. Unclear how, but a vehicle was involved in the collision with the dump truck. As a result of the crash, the dump truck overturned.

One person involved in the crash suffered significant injuries. The victim was transported to an area hospital for emergency medical care.

Authorities remained on-site for more than two hours while clearing the road. The Utah Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash.
