Puyallup, WA – Motorcyclist Killed in Truck Crash on Valley Ave NW near Puyallup River

Puyallup, WA (September 18, 2023) – A fatal automobile accident was reported early Sunday morning in Puyallup that claimed the life of one person.

The crash occurred at around 3:00 a.m. on September 17.

The Puyallup Police Department and Central Pierce Fire and Rescue responded to the scene of an automobile accident on Valley Avenue Northwest.

According to reports, a motorcycle and a semi-truck collided in the 900 block of the roadway just north of the Puyallup River. The incident prompted officials to shut down the road as they worked to provide care at the scene.

The motorcyclist, identified as a 34-year-old male from Pierce County, was fatally injured. No other injuries were reported as a result of this crash.

Authorities confirmed that the truck caught on fire and caused some damage to power lines in the area, prompting officials to shut down the roadway for an extended period. The crash is currently being investigated.
