Queens, NY (May 19, 2023) – A 14-year-old female has died as a result of a truck crash that took place on Wednesday in Queens.
On May 17, the New York Police Department and firefighters were called to the scene of a crash on North Conduit Avenue.
At approximately 6:40 p.m., a BMW was involved in a collision with a UPS vehicle. The UPS worker was ejected onto the roadway. The BMW spun out and struck the side of a semi-truck.
A 14-year-old girl involved in the accident was severely hurt in the crash. Authorities located her at the scene with severe head trauma. She ended up passing away from her injuries while on-site.
The driver of the BMW, a 16-year-old male, was treated for minor injuries at Cohen Childrens Medical Center.
The driver of the UPS truck was transported to Jamaica Hospital for emergency medical care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
