Ridley Park, PA (August 16, 2023) – A 31-year-old man lost his life as a result of a crash that took place on Tuesday involving a garbage truck.
On August 15, emergency crews were called to the scene of an accident that took place in Delaware County.
According to official reports, a driver for J.P. Mascaro & Sons Garbage was attempting to back up the vehicle while on West Hinckley Avenue. For unknown reasons, they knocked a man off the back of the vehicle and ran him over.
The man was severely hurt in the crash. Authorities subsequently pronounced him deceased as a result of the extent of his injuries.
At this time, the accident is being investigated by the Ridley Park Police Department.
No other injuries were reported.
