Rowley, MA – Motorcyclist Hurt in Truck Wreck on Route 1 near Route 133

Rowley, MA (July 22, 2023) – At around 7:00 a.m. on July 20, emergency officials in the Rowley area responded to the scene of a car crash that ended in injuries.

According to official reports from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, a motorcycle and a semi-truck collided on Route 1 in the area of Route 133 during the morning hours.

The incident prompted law enforcement to shut down the roadway extensively while investigating. Investigations found that the two involved vehicles were traveling south on Route 1 prior to the collision. As the two vehicles approached the intersection of Route 133, the semi-truck attempted to turn left. As a result, the two vehicles collided.

The motorcyclist, identified as a 64-year-old man, was severely hurt in the crash. A medical helicopter was requested at the scene to transport the man to a local hospital for emergency care. No other injuries were reported in this crash.
