Royse City, TX (August 9, 2023) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Royse City area has claimed the lives of two victims, according to officials.
The accident occurred at around 8:45 a.m. on August 7.
According to reports provided by the Texas Department of Public Safety, a semi-truck was traveling west along Interstate 30. For unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed into the eastbound lanes near Farm to Market Road 35 and crashed into three other vehicles.
The impact of the crash caused one of the sedans to burst into flames. Two people inside the vehicle were fatally injured and pronounced deceased on-site.
Two other victims were injured and transported to area hospitals for further medical care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
