San Antonio, TX – Fiery Truck Wreck Reported on S Loop 1604 near Pleasanton Rd Takes One Life

San Antonio, TX (July 27, 2023) – One person has lost their life as a result of a truck accident that took place in Bexar County late Tuesday evening, July 25.

At around 10:00 p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a major truck wreck on South Loop 1604.

Reports from BCSO show that an 18-wheeler and a tow truck collided on the 700 block of South Loop 1604 during the evening hours. The impact of the crash caused the truck to burst into flames.

One person was trapped inside the burning vehicles. Authorities worked to remove the trapped victim. However, they suffered fatal injuries in the accident. The victim was pronounced deceased. No other injuries were reported.

At this time, investigations into the crimes are underway.
