San Antonio, TX – Two Truck Wreck on I-35 near Rittiman Rd Takes One Life

San Antonio, TX (July 6, 2023) – The San Antonio Police Department confirmed that one person has lost their life as a result of a fatal truck accident that occurred on the northeast side of San Antonio early Tuesday morning, July 4.

At around 6:30 a.m., a UPS big rig truck was involved in a collision with a second 18-wheeler on the southbound side of Interstate 35 in the area near the access road at Rittiman Road.

The incident caused significant disruptions throughout the area.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that one person sadly lost their life as a result of the accident. The number of injured parties is not known at this time.

The crash is currently being investigated by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
