San Diego, CA – Amazon Truck Wreck on I-15 near I-8 Ends in Injuries

San Diego, CA (August 21, 2023) – A major truck accident was reported in the San Diego area that ended in injuries.

On August 20, the California Highway Patrol out of San Diego assisted the San Diego Fire Department at the scene of a major accident that occurred on Interstate 15.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., and Amazon vehicle was traveling north on Interstate 15 when the driver lost control of the vehicle. As a result, the truck went sideways, blocking the entire northbound lane near Interstate 8. Three other vehicles then collided with the truck.

Two people had to be extricated from their vehicles. One victim was severely injured. Two others were left with minor injuries. All three victims were transported to area hospitals for emergency care.

The accident is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol at this time.
