San Marcos, TX (May 20, 2023) – Two people lost their lives following a truck accident that took place in the San Marcos area on Friday morning, May 19.
At around 8:00 a.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the site of a crash on Interstate 35.
Reports from authorities show that the truck was traveling north on the interstate when the tire blew out. As a result, the vehicle traveled across three lanes before colliding with a second vehicle near McCarty Lane.
The driver of the dump truck and the second vehicle’s driver suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The two victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this time, investigations into the crash are underway.
