Seattle, WA (November 5, 2023) – A major motor vehicle accident reported in the Belltown section of Seattle claimed one person’s life while leaving a dozen more injured. The accident occurred at around 3:30 p.m. on November 4.
Reports from the Seattle Police Department show that a King County Metro bus and a red sedan collided in the area of 5th Avenue and Battery Street. The impact of the crash caused the bus to go off the roadway and run over a pedestrian before striking a building. The red sedan also went off the roadway and struck a building. The driver had to be extricated. The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center for emergency care.
One person sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. The victim was identified as a female pedestrian. Eleven additional victims were injured. The victims were transported to area hospitals for emergency care.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
