Shawnee, OK (October 29, 2023) – A man lost his life as a result of a fatal truck accident reported on Sunday evening, October 29.
The accident occurred at around 815 p.m.
According to reports from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a Freightliner semi-truck and a 2009 Toyota Matrix collided on Interstate 40 during the evening hours. The incident blocked multiple eastbound lanes of the road.
The impact of the crash caused the driver of the Toyota to be ejected from the vehicle. The victim was severely hurt in the crash and transported to Oklahoma University Medical Center. Authorities confirmed the victim died after arriving. The victim was identified as a 70-year-old man from Prague.
The crash is being investigated at this time. No other injuries were reported.
