Southfield, MI – Three Injured in Bus Crash on 9 Mile Rd near Northwestern Highway

Southfield, MI (August 12, 2023) – Three people were transported to area hospitals with injuries following a major crash that took place in Oakland County on Friday morning, August 11.

Just after 7:00 a.m., authorities were notified that a crash occurred on 9 Mile Road.

Local news sources indicate that a pickup truck and a bus collided on the roadway at the intersection of Northwestern Highway.

The driver of the truck became trapped inside his vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters. Once removed, the victim was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition.

The bus driver and one passenger both suffered injuries and were transported to area hospitals for medical care.
