St Louis, MO (July 23, 2023) – One person lost their life in a semi-truck accident that occurred in the St Louis area on Friday, July 21.
According to official reports, at around 6:30 p.m., a collision was reported on Interstate 44. The accident involved a motorcycle and a semi-truck.
Authorities arrived at the scene and located the vehicles just west of the split from Interstate 55. The St Louis Police Department immediately shut down a portion of the roadway while assisting.
The motorcyclist, identified only as a male victim, was severely hurt in the crash. The victim was rushed to a local hospital, where he later passed away from their injuries.
The driver of the truck, a 31-year-old man, was not injured.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
