Stamford, CT – Four Killed in I-95 Truck Accident near Exit 8

Stamford, CT (May 16, 2023) – A major truck accident took place on Saturday in the Stamford area that ultimately claimed the lives of multiple people.

Just after 3:00 a.m. on May 13, the Connecticut State Police was notified that they were needed at the scene of a crash on Interstate 95.

Reports from authorities indicate that a 49-year-old man from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was traveling north on Interstate 95 in a GMC Terrain when his vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer. The incident prompted officials to shut down the roadway near Exit 8.

The man and three passengers in his vehicle, identified as a 59-year-old woman, a 29-year-old man, and a 23-year-old man, all from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, were fatally injured. The four victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.
