Stockton, CA (November 19, 2023) – A fatal truck accident reported in the Stockton area claimed one person’s life. The accident occurred at around 5:30 a.m. on November 16. The California Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of the crash on Route 4.
According to law enforcement, a 35-year-old man was traveling on the roadway during the morning hours. For unknown reasons, the vehicle attempted to pass a Toyota and Hyundai on the highway near Highway 99. As a result, the vehicle collided with an 18-wheeler. The force of the collision caused the vehicles to strike the Honda and Toyota. The vehicle then reentered the lane and struck a Ford. One vehicle then went off the roadway and went down an embankment.
One man was fatally injured in the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no information regarding whether anyone else suffered injuries as a result of this collision. Investigations are ongoing.
