Suffolk, VA (December 12, 2023) – A crash involving a commercial vehicle left two people injured in the full folk area on Monday afternoon, December 11. The Suffolk Fire & Rescue and the Suffolk Police Department responded to the scene of the accident at approximately 205 p.m.

According to official reports, a work truck was involved in a collision on the southbound side of Interstate 664. As a result of the collision, two people became trapped inside the vehicle as it came to rest near Exit 9, just south of College Drive. The victims had to be extricated by firefighters. One of the victims was severely injured in the crash. The second victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Both of the injured victims were transported to area hospitals for emergency care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
