Summerdale, AL (June 2, 2023) – The Summerdale Police Department reported that one person suffered injuries as a result of a truck crash that occurred on Wednesday, May 31.
Reports provided by SPD show that an 18-wheeler collided with the work truck on Interstate 59 along the northbound side of the roadway. After the initial collision, the 18-wheeler then collided with a car. The car was forced off the roadway as a result of the collision.
The driver of the car, who has not been identified to the public, suffered severe injuries. The victim was cut out of their vehicle and flown to a local hospital, where they underwent emergency care.
The Summerdale Police Department is actively investigating the crash.
