Fatal accidents in Utah take the lives of hundreds of people every year. There are instances where semi-trucks and commercial vehicles are involved in these accidents. When these large vehicles are involved, there is a significant chance that they will result in catastrophic and fatal injuries.
The unfortunate truth is that many accidents are a result of negligence. After losing a loved one in a truck accident, your family should seek guidance from a wrongful death lawyer right away. You may be able to take legal action against the responsible party. Unlike other types of automobile collisions, truck accidents tend to be more complex due to the fact that they can have multiple parties liable for the resulting damages and injuries.
In many cases, a legal claim is filed against the driver of the truck. This is due to the fact that many accidents take place as a result of speeding, distractions, or even impairment. In addition, there are many instances where people file legal claims against the trucking company. When trucking companies do not provide drivers with adequate rest time or higher drivers that are unqualified to operate the vehicles, they can be held liable for any resulting damages. Unfortunately, there are also instances where cargo companies are negligent, maintenance companies are negligent, and even government entities. It is crucial to seek guidance from a skilled legal team right away to ensure you are able to identify who is liable and take action against them.
