Tonopah, AZ – Major Truck Wreck Reported on I-10 near Salome Rd

Tonopah, AZ (October 13, 2023) – Several people were injured as a result of an automobile accident that took place in Tonopah on Thursday morning, October 12.

Reports provided by the Arizona Department of Transportation show that multiple semi-truck tractor-trailers collided on Interstate 10, blocking multiple eastbound lanes. The incident prompted officials to shut down the roadway near Siloam Road as they worked to clear the scene.

Authorities confirm that one vehicle initially rolled over in the area, resulting in an accident involving 3 to 4 additional semi-trucks. Several people suffered injuries as a result of the accident. Victims were provided care at the scene. One victim was seriously injured and had to be transported to a local hospital. At this time, authorities have not confirmed whether multiple victims had to receive further medical care in nearby facilities.

At this time, the Arizona Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
