Tooele County, UT – Driver Hurt in Truck Crash on SR 179 near MM 3

Tooele County, UT (May 28, 2023) – One person was left with significant injuries following a Thursday morning truck crash that took place in Tooele County.

During the early morning hours on May 25, the Utah Highway Patrol responded to the scene of an accident that occurred on State Route 179.

Reports from authorities indicate that a semi-truck and a red vehicle collided on the westbound side of  UT-179 near mile marker three.

Officials responded to the scene and shut down a large portion of the roadway for approximately three hours.

A medical helicopter was requested at the scene of the crash to transport one driver, who suffered critical injuries as a result of the accident.

The incident is currently being investigated.
