Toombs County, GA – Woman Trapped, Injured in Truck Crash on Resmondo Rd near US Highway 1

Toombs County, GA (May 15, 2023) – A truck accident was reported in Toombs County on Wednesday that left one woman with significant injuries.

The accident was reported at around 3:15 p.m. on May 10.

Reports from the Toombs County Sheriff’s Office indicate that an SUV and a dump truck collided on Resmondo Road in the area of US Highway 1.

The driver of the SUV, identified as a 50-year-old woman, became trapped inside her vehicle. The woman had to be extricated by firefighters. She was airlifted from the scene of the crash and flown to Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Georgia, where she underwent emergency care.
