Twin Falls, ID (September 3, 2023) – Authorities confirmed that a collision took place in Jerome County that claimed the life of a 53-year-old man.
The Idaho State Police received a notification just after 350 p.m. on September 1 that they were needed at the scene of an accident.
According to reports provided by the police, a 2006 Freightliner was pulling a single trailer while traveling on the eastbound side of Interstate 84. For unknown reasons, the vehicle collided with a 2021 Freightliner semi, which was also pulling a single trailer.
The incident blocked the eastbound side of the roadway near mile marker 179.
One person involved in the accident, identified as a 53-year-old man, was severely hurt. The demand ended up passing away from his injuries while at the scene.
Investigations are currently underway by the Idaho State Police.
