Upson County, GA (July 19, 2023) – A major truck accident was reported in Upson County that left two people with critical injuries. The accident occurred just after 4 p.m. on July 16.
According to official reports, a firetruck was traveling north on Mud Bridge Road while responding to an accident. For reasons unknown, the vehicle became involved in a collision just seven miles northeast of Thomaston. The incident caused the truck to overturn.
Two people were ejected from the firetruck, resulting in significant injuries. The victims were rendered aid briefly on-site. They were subsequently flown by medical helicopter to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, for emergency care.
The crash is being investigated at this time.
