There are various forms of negligence that can contribute to truck accidents in Illinois. We often see these accidents take place as a result of drivers who are negligent. When drivers fall asleep behind the wheel due to spending long hours on the road, they are likely to cause serious accidents. We also see countless truck companies fail to maintain their vehicles, which leads to mechanical failures or tire blowouts. Another common cause of truck accidents that we see here quite frequently is overloaded cargo. When cargo companies fail to properly load trailers on semi-trucks, it can result in shifting, which can overturn the vehicle.
