Truck accidents can be extremely devastating. Regrettably, these crashes claim the lives of hundreds of people across the United States every month. There are countless instances where people lose their lives as a result of negligent drivers. We see many drivers who are distracted, impaired, or reckless while behind the wheel. Although many truck accidents take place as a direct result of drivers, there are instances where other parties can be held liable for the resulting damages and injuries.
After a fatal truck accident, a truck company may be held liable for any resulting damages. This typically involves cases where drivers who operate the vehicles are unqualified to do so. In addition, truck companies can be held liable if they fail to maintain the vehicles or if they improperly supervise workers.
There are many instances where maintenance companies are held liable for any resulting accidents. These cases typically involve instances where inadequate maintenance led to the accident occurring. This can include cases of brake failure or tire blowouts that could have been prevented.
