Warwick, NY – Police Officer Hurt in Route 94 Truck Crash near Warwick Turnpike

Warwick, NY (July 13, 2023) – A police officer was transported to an area hospital following a truck accident that took place in Warwick on Tuesday evening, July 11.

At around 10:00 p.m., a tractor-trailer and a 2019 Ford Explorer Town of Warwick Police Department SUV collided on Route 94 along the southwest side of the roadway. The incident caused the truck to go off the roadway near Warwick Turnpike and crash into a telephone pole.

The officer driving the patrol vehicle was trapped inside her vehicle and had to be extricated. A medical helicopter responded to the scene to fly the victim to West Chester Medical Center for emergency care.

The truck driver was also injured and transported to Garnet Health Medical Center for treatment.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.
