Waynesboro, TN (August 28, 2023) – Two men with the Tennessee Drug Task Force were injured due to a truck accident that occurred on Friday, August 25.
At around 10:30 a.m., authorities were requested at the scene of an accident on US Highway 64.
Reports from authorities show that a vehicle occupied by two DTF agents was traveling east on the highway. At the same time, a UPS truck was traveling westbound on the same roadway. As the UPS truck attempted to turn onto Waynesboro Highway, it turned into the path of the DTF agents’ vehicle. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
Both agents were severely injured in the crash. The two victims were airlifted from the scene and flown to two separate hospitals in the Nashville area.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
We hope the two men injured in this crash recover quickly.
