Bus crashes are the cause of thousands of injuries every year in the United States. Unfortunately, there are many instances where people end up passing away due to the injuries they suffer.
The loss of a loved one due to a fatal bus crash can be incredibly difficult to accept. However, it is important that families are aware of the legal options that they have moving forward. After enduring the sudden and unexpected loss of a loved one, families have the ability to seek financial compensation for the losses and damages they face. This is done by filing a wrongful death claim in civil court.
In Minnesota, families have the ability to request compensation for funeral and burial expenses, medical expenses for their loved one prior to their passing, and even the loss of protection, care, and services. Quite often, the loss of income and other benefits can also be recovered.
To ensure you have the best chance of getting the most compensation possible for your wrongful death claim, it is important to seek legal help from a knowledgeable and experienced bus accident lawyer as soon as possible. Your attorney will be able to take control of the legal work while your family focuses on healing.
