Fatal truck accidents are the cause of thousands of deaths across the United States each year. Unfortunately, many of these accidents are preventable. When it comes to fatal truck accidents, there are several common causes that can result in devastating consequences.
One of the main factors is driver error, such as fatigue or distraction, which can lead to loss of control and collisions. Another significant cause is mechanical failure, including faulty brakes or tire blowouts, posing a serious threat on the road. Poor weather conditions and inadequate maintenance also contribute to these tragic incidents.
After losing a loved one in a fatal truck accident, families have the ability to recover compensation for some of the damages that they face. One type of damage that families recover includes medical expenses for injuries sustained by the victim prior to their passing and funeral costs. Additionally, compensation may cover lost income and future financial support if applicable. It is crucial for affected families to seek legal assistance from an experienced fatal truck accident lawyer who has knowledge and experience in how to handle these complex legal claims.
