Woodbridge, NJ (September 24, 2023) – A major crash took place in the Port Reading section of Woodbridge on Friday that claimed the life of a 46-year-old man from Woodland Park, New Jersey.
According to reports from the Woodbridge Police Department, a dump truck and a second vehicle collided head-on near Port Reading Avenue and Lee Street. The incident prompted the police to close off a large section of the roadway at around 9:40 p.m.
The driver of the dump truck was rushed to a local hospital following the crash. Authorities confirmed that he passed away from his injuries.
A second victim, identified as a 40-year-old man from Cranford, was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries.
The police in Woodbridge are currently investigating the crash.
