Zeeland, MI (October 11, 2023) – A truck accident was reported in Zeeland Township on Tuesday afternoon that ended in injuries.
Reports provided by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office show that the crash occurred at around 3:30 p.m. on October 10.
According to official reports, a 21-year-old was driving a Pontiac Grand Prix East on Chicago Drive. As the vehicle passed through the intersection of 80th Avenue, it collided with a semi-truck that pulled into its path.
The driver of the car became pinned inside of their vehicle. Firefighters extricated the victim before transporting them to a hospital in Grand Rapids, where he was admitted in critical condition.
The semi-truck driver, a 48-year-old, was not injured.
At this time, the crash is being investigated.
